UK’s Counter Terrorism Police have arrested five men on suspicion of preparing a terrorist act.

Authorities have confirmed that four of the suspects are Iranian nationals. Due to operational sensitivities, police have not disclosed the specific premises believed to have been targeted.

As part of the ongoing investigation, officers are conducting searches at multiple locations across Greater Manchester, London, and Swindon.

The investigation centers around a suspected plot involving a specific site. Police have contacted those responsible for the premises to inform them of the situation and to offer advice and support. However, further details remain confidential for operational reasons.

Commander Dominic Murphy, Head of the Metropolitan Police’s Counter Terrorism Command, said: “This is a fast-moving investigation and we are working closely with those at the affected site to keep them updated.”
